Fitted my diy inner rear lights today. Time consuming feeding the cables inside the boot all the way to the outer light wiring. I'#039m happy how they turned out, still looking like ed30 inner lights giving it a oem look. Phone Camera makes it nbsp out a lil orangey but its actually red.

Twin indicators 60mm yellow cob led nbsp ring.

Brake/tail lights 100mm red cob le

Last Poster: ben388332 in How to Guides / Troubleshooting on Yesterday at 09:22:04 pm
Hi, This is very typical when there is an air leak somewhere between the MAF sensor and the Turbo. If you check all the o-rings and pipe connections in this area there will be one that'#039s not sealed correctly. The engine cuts out because the control unit is getting conflicting information, for example the air is being pulled through the leak and therefore not past the MAF sensor so

They all have a number on them and you can get copies.
If you dont know number make a plastacine mold from your wheel nut and compare number ans shape of splines.

Almost 4 years later and I finally solved this issue.

I took the cover off from around the ignition and the ignition barrel lock sensor fell out!!!

Put this back in and no more flashing on the dash!

Hope this helps someone!

I'#039ve attached an image of said sensor!

Power loss after replacing clutch/flywheel?
Last Poster: hcmzah in Mk5 General Area on March 01, 2025, 06:06:32 pm
Hi all, my mk5 gti'#039s clutch started to slip recently (144k miles) so I'#039ve got the clutch and flywheel replaced. I'#039ve bought the parts from here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235644487776

After the replacement, the car feels a lot less torquey in the low rpms, less responsive and rev hangs slightly.

I did pay just under £400 for the clutch kit and flywheel whic

Re: Golf 5 1.4 TSI 122 hp Reliability
Last Poster: ZoliWorks in Mk5 General Area on February 28, 2025, 11:36:45 am
The 122hp version is built like a tank. It is probably as reliable as the golf 4 75hp 1.4 was. I'#039ve owned mine for 4 years now and the only thing that failed was the ABS unit. The car is stage 1 mapped to 155hp. If you want reliability, go with the 122. Just make sure you get the timing chains done asap and not only replace the tensioner chain guides but also the tensioners themse

I am probably not the best person to explain this, there might be some variations in door controle modules.
What i can say is that i ended up searching youtube and the forum for most of the information on pins and vcds coding and what not. It was a more of figuring it out as i went along kind of thing. sorry i wasnt much help.

Did it throw any codes? And what light flashed on the dash, check engine? And have you or someone else done any work on the car recently?
